Management of Predator Free Dunedin

PFD Trustees were highly impressed by the calibre of 16 expressions of interest by individuals and organisations wishing to be part of the PFD team. An interview panel, of three trustees and an independent, ran a process over several weeks, to ensure the right people are on board. Ahika has been appointed to this role, with a team including Brent Rohloff, Mike Thorsen and Rhys Millar. Brent will work with the Delivery Partners to ensure project milestones are met and concurrently will provide technical support to these teams. Mike will ensure that science and research are aligned with operational needs, facilitating the work of our research partners to achieve these critical outcomes. Rhys Millar, as PFD Project Lead, will manage the team, overseeing the strategic direction of PFD, internal alignment with Delivery Partners, and external relationships with our stakeholders.

Reframed Media’s Josh Jenkins and Josh Jeffery will develop and deliver the communications strategy for PFD, ensuring the PFD membership stays engaged at all times and building the awareness and participation amongst Dunedin’s residents.

These newsletter and video updates will be regular; bi-monthly to PFD members, and then every other month to Dunedin residents. The PFD team will be visiting operations, backyard operators, interviewing visiting experts, taking their messages back to you. Connecting via social media is a critical part of spreading the word, and so Josh and Josh will soon be completing a social media training session for members of PFD.
